MIDDLETON BRIGADE Fire Permits FIRE PERMITS ARE CURRENTLY REQUIRED During Fire Permit periods it is an offense to light certain types of fires outdoors. This does not mean that fires can not be lit but the issuing of a permit will enable the Brigade to be aware of any fire. The Brigade's Fire Permit Officers can issue permits for certain types and size of planned fires; larger fires will need a fire plan put in placeand may need permission from a higher authority.
